I had hoped to post before midnight, but it just didn't work out.
Let me tell you, I am glad that I did drive straight through to Park City. Guess what it's been doing all day? Yep! Rain, followed by sleet, followed by snow! I would not have had a fun time driving through that mess...especially in the mountains!!!
As it was, I did go out to a band concert this evening. Check this out...
That is the combined bands of Park City schools. And this was only one of the four concerts. There was also a choir concert, a string orchestra concert and coming up is a jazz concert. Talk about understanding the importance of music in education. The music program in Park City is fantastic.
The kitties have been settling right in as you can see...
They have been introduced to the other kitties in the house (there are now six all together!!!) with the attending spats and running around.
Chip has assumed the role of alpha kitty...that's first kitty in the picture above...interesting!! I guess he's trying to keep all the other kitties in line but you know how that works out...try herding a bunch of cats...can't do it. Well, I'll let Chip sort it out, that is if he every stops napping...
I have been trying to catch up and finish my ornaments for the swap. They have to be mailed this Saturday! Remember the bird I sculpted out of paper clay?
He now has a coat of paint, but I haven't quite finished yet.
My problem was the nest. First, I tried making one using yarn and a stone but didn't really like it. Then, I tried to make a nest made out of small (about 1 inch in length) twigs but didn't like it.
I finally decided to make one out of paperclay and this is what I came up with...
It has a coat of white paint on it. I will be painting it another color later on. I also want to add some grass like material and four chains to hang it. Tomorrow will be a very busy day for me finishing up these ornaments. I will post pictures when I have finished them.
I also made a little gift for each participant...
I crocheted a heart, added a hanger and some dangling beads. It's actually kind of cute.
Well, that's all for tonight...
Thanks for visiting...
See you tomorrow...
