So, how was your weekend? Saturday was a fantastic day with the family for me. First we went to check out the new Container Store, only to find that it is now not opening until fall (bummer). But I did pick up some new teas to try out so not all was lost.
Then we went to a movie...The Lego Movie. Now, I can hear what you're saying. You went to a child's movie? Yes, and I enjoyed it immensely. For of all, the story was a good one with a twist at the end. And there was a lot of humor...a lot...for all ages.
But what was really great was the movie itself. It was stop-action...(Remember claymation where every movement was a stop in the film while the clay figure was changed every so minutely.)...well, think about all the different lego pieces that go into making just about anything. The ocean scene was breathtaking, especially when you realize that every single piece of blue and white lego was moved one by one with a picture taken in between each single change! Personally, I recommend seeing it just for that alone...
Afterwards, we went to an Indian Restaurant. The food was absolutely divine...
Finally home, after a stop at a big box store to pick up a few items. It was just one of those really nice, warm-feeling, days spent with family. I have to say that I have had the pleasure of spending those types of days with all four of my grown children...makes me smile to think about it...also, makes me feel very lucky to have such great kids...(now there's a big smile on my face right plus a bit of a tear in the corner of my eye.)
There's a new journal prompt posted. And tomorrow, I will show you some more of my pages, such as they are... And I have come up with a crochet project...
