Well, it really did snow most of the day...maybe about four more inches. But once the sun came out late this afternoon, most of the snow melted.
I decided to make some crocheted flowers today...you know, something completely different. Every once in a while I just get the urge to crochet. Does that every happen to you? Well, anyway, first I crocheted a flower similar to this one...
I liked the idea of having different levels but I wanted each section to be a bit more ruffled and a more equal distribution of color. In other words, not so much white showing. So this is what I came up with...
It's actually much bigger than I thought it would be. About five inches in diameter and about two inches high. There are five different layers in my flower and as you can see, much fuller. I don't know what I will be doing with the flower but I do like it.
So, then I decided to try to make another flower. This time a more typical rose. And this is what I came up with...
This flower is about two inches high but only about 2 1/2 inches in diameter. Again, I have no idea what I will do with it, but I like it.
Best thing of all, I really enjoyed crocheting. So now I have decided to look for a crocheting project. Nothing big, (I don't do big anymore), but something that I will use. Maybe a doily!
Well, it's back to drawing...I hope you had an opportunity to check out the Strathmore Online Free Workshops...I'm finding that working with simple line drawings is very relaxing. Kind of like doodling is for me. I'm actually surprised that I am so relaxed when drawing. That has not always been the case.
Well, tomorrow is hump day. And before you know it, the week will be gone. Sometimes I feel time goes much too fast. And to think that I thought it would slow down when I reached this age. Wonders never cease...nor do new discoveries...so keep exploring...
Thanks for stopping in...
See you tomorrow...
