Today was one of my talk days. What's a talk day. you ask? Well, it's a special day each week when I get to visit (via Skype) with two close friends discussing everything from the books we are reading together, to what's new in our lives to the deepest questions we all ask of ourselves. Two to three hours with each. And let me tell you, it is such a treat for me to continue these relationships on such a personal, compassionate and loving level.
If you are far removed from your closest friends, why not set up a time to visit on the phone, with Facetime or on Skype. I bet you will find it as life-affirming and supportive as I have found.
BLOG CHANGES CONTINUED:
So far I have shared with you my ideas for the monthly changes as well as the specifics of Mondays and Tuesdays. On Wednesdays, I will focus on things of interest like new craft techniques, online sites for a variety of classes, new (or new to me) apps and podcasts of interest. I will also update the week's goals as well as journalling. And, of course, share any of the creative projects I have going on.
Thursdays will be totally crafts. I plan to share a specific craft which I enjoy including a tutorial on it. Anything from creating a fabric landscape to steampunk jewelry to different crafting techniques.
And that takes me to Friday. I call it simply frugal Fridays and I will share frugal and simple living ideas...nothing technical, nor demanding, just ideas which may interest you on your journey. I'll also share how I did with my weekly goals AND the week's journal page.
As I mentioned before, I will be doing a month long challenge in May. I have decided to do a 30 Zentangle challenge - one every weekday. I have actually been wanting to do this for a long time so I'm looking forward to it.
Look for the new changes on the first Monday of each month rather than on the first of each month. I like the idea of new beginnings and what better day than Monday.
