HOPE IS THE WORD FOR MAY

There is an old Cherokee Legend about a grandfather replying to his grandson's question about life.   The grandfather replied that inside his grandson were two wolves fighting one another.   One is evil and is full of despair, anger, sorrow, lies and greed.   The other is good and is full of joy, peace, love and hope.  After a moment, the grandson asked his grandfather which wolf would win.   And his grandfather replied that the one you feed will win.

This is such a familiar legend that we often skip right over it.   But stop and think.   The wolf you feed is the one that wins.   It's so easy to be angry and/or full of despair that we sometimes just let those emotions flood our minds.  And the more you feed those emotions, the more those emotions take over.

So why not live in joy, peace, love and hope instead. Remember, the more you live positively, the easier it becomes and soon it's second nature.

We all experience difficult times.  But how you respond colors your entire outlook, even your entire life.   So which 'wolf' are you going to feed now, today, this week or the rest of your life?

The Journal Prompt this week is 'Planting Seeds of Hope" keeping with May's theme of HOPE.   I thought it would be fun to create one journal page each week focusing on the Journal Prompt and I thought I would share what I did each day.   Sometimes with a picture and other times just telling you.

So for this journal page, I have written the word HOPE in large, make that very large, letters on a lightly watercolor washed background.   I am then creating images of seeds large enough to write inside each image.

Finally, I was out working this weekend when I saw this cloud and had to take a picture to share...
There was no rain, just this cloud which turned out to be three layers of clouds.   Unfortunately, I did not think about getting a picture of the different layers, but it was truly unique.

I hope you all had a great weekend and that this week promises lots of good things.   Thanks for stopping by.   See you tomorrow...
