I took this photo late last week but after a day of heavy rain and high winds this past weekend, I'm not sure if these flowers are still standing!!!
Remember what I was working on last week...
I cut, sewed, turned, ironed and quilted eleven pieces. The good news is that I spent all day yesterday finishing them...
All dozen centerpieces for the Holiday Party at Empire Quilters are done. It took all day, first to mark and sew (with the sewing machine) the triangles at each corner; and then to turn down the outside triangles and hand sew on buttons (four per fabric basket) as well as tacking the inner triangles to the flat sides (again four per basket). I finished AFTER the last football game was over!!! But they are done. So I am pretty much ready for the Holiday Party decorations.
Still have to finish the program and write a short, funny skit about quilting. No pressure, right??? At least I don't need to take my sewing machine with me when I leave.
Saturday was a fun day of fishing...nope, didn't catch anything but take a look at where we went fishing. First a hike through the woods and then the reservoir (Ashokan)
Today I have been getting ready to leave for Minnesota and Utah. Linus and Lucy got a clean cage...
Chip and Dale, however, know something is up and they are not happy...
They are going to be less happy when they realize that they won't be coming along this time. Too many places where I can't take them with me. Have no fear, they have a great babysitter whom they love very much...well, as least as much as cats can love!!! And I am sure I will get the silent treatment when I get back...but hey...staying here is better than being locked up in a cage...right?
Well, back to work...
Thanks for dropping in...
Talk to you later...
