LEARNING NEW THINGS & ACCEPTING REALITY!

It's a good thing that no one is too old to learn something new. Especially me!!! One of my latest endeavors is to create crochet items using only Chain, SlipStitch and Single Crochet stitches. I was writing down my directions and finding things a bit hard to follow.

I then remembered seeing charts. I didn't have any graph paper...no problem, just created some on Open Office. And now I am having a much easier time keeping track of directions.

I am actually on my third time crocheting the first item. I think I have it down pat now. Next, taking pictures which I am still not great at.

I did create a photo box but am still having problems with good artificial lighting. Think I will have to stay with sunlight for the time being as long as I can capture it using the box...

Just caught Dale sitting on the table next to the birds, looking directly at them. Funny, Lucy and Linus not only didn't make any noise, but Lucy yawned...yep. she just yawned!!! Dale is no longer sitting there...and I don't think he will go there again. At least I hope not.

The We're Still Here Quilters will be making their appearance once again next week. I will include a brief summary of things going on before I publish the next installment. I can't wait until we get to the opening of the store...things will get much more interesting as they find their way through the red tape and unexpected visitors...

I think I have finally got it through my head that I am just not a morning person and never will be. I try getting up early and running through my daily routine. I try getting to sleep early to see if that changes things. No success at all.

I really can't get going until noon. I may be able to do some rote things like cleaning or feeding the critters but nothing of importance. My body even revolts and stays with those little aches and pains until around noon.

I give up...I will continue living my life as a night owl, not a morning person. But that will enable me to get lots more done. After all, my most creative time is between 10pm and 2am!!! Go figure!!!

That's it for today...
Going to visit with some friends tomorrow so not sure if I will get back in time to post...
Corn Maze on Saturday...will definitely take photos...
If I don't talk to you before the weekend, make sure you do something just for you...
Thanks for dropping in...
