A FISHING ADVENTURE, NO WORD ON THE HOUSE & THIRD IN THE SERIES OF BEACH SCENES

We went fishing this past weekend and I have to say it was one of the more memorable fishing events. We lake hop...in other words, we go from one lake to the next. Last Saturday we visited four lakes. And the third lake was the beginning of some weird events.

First, one son thought he caught a fish, but there was no fight and when he pulled in the line it was basically a mixed salad...in other words, weeds.  Because of the mushy ground he could not take off the weeds, so he handed the rod to his brother who began to take off weeds only to find a fish. He quickly put the fish in the water (We are a catch and release family!). When he resumed pulling off the weeds, the fish got free and jumped back into the water.  We decided to call this a zombie fish.

At lake four...check out the pictures...

So, the fish were biting at this lake. The brother kept thinking that something was going after the fish he caught. He was right. After releasing several fish, he cast in again and thought he was stuck...nope, it began moving away.  At this he called his brother to come help...turned out to be a snapping turtle the size of a basketball!!! He's still swimming around.

Then I was pulling in my line and it jumped up over the rocks and a frog jumped up and caught it! Well, after a while, we were able to free the frog and it was moving and jumping around as well as swimming. Then I caught a fish...not a sunfish, nor trout, nor bass which are what the boys were catching...nope, I caught a catfish!! It wasn't caught on the hook, it just would not let go of the bait!!! But, it's back in the water no worse for it's adventure!

Like I said, a really interesting day of fishing!

No word on the house yet, but I did furnish additional information requested. So all fingers and toes are crossed!!!

Here's a picture of the third beach scene which is smaller than the first two...

I added a sparkly net and decided to hand stitch first using the large stitch method...

Haven't figured out further plans for this scene but I know I will do more embellishments...just not what.

Well, it was another hot one today so I didn't venture into Manhattan which was a good thing in that I received a telephone call about a family member being hospitalized.

And on the political scene...what does one say about his latest news conference...unbelievable!!!

Thanks for visiting...
Hope you're staying cool...
Talk with you tomorrow...
