When I see dandelions in the yard, I realize that spring is here and summer is on the way!
So will March go out like a lion or a lamb? Or is that another midwest saying?
In other words, will the weather be wild or mild. With what's been happening around the nation, especially in the south, wild seems more plausible.
I was looking something up about a celebration this weekend and stumbled unto the National Holidays site. Do you realize how many things there are to celebrate today? Check out this list...
National Spanish Paella Day
Celebrate Exchange Day
International Scribble Day
International Whiskey Day
National Acoustic Soul Day
National Joe Day
National Medical Science Liaison Awareness and Appreciation Day

Viagra Day
World Theatre Day
WHAT A LIST!
I have been working my way back to walking. I can now do 15 minutes with arm movements...not easily, but I can do it. So I was wondering how many steps I should aim for. Right now my aim is 2000 steps a day easily and then add more.
10,000 steps a day seems to be what a lot of folks aim for but in reality healthcare advocates have found that between 6,000 to 8,000 steps a day is good for you. That's about three miles.
For folks in my age range (that's 77 years old, folks) the recommendation is from 2,000 to 8,000 steps a day. That is quite a range. The most important thing to remember is to continue to be active.
So where are you with steps and being active? Are you getting enough...in other words, are you active enough? If not, it may be time to get up and get active.
Start out slowly with what works for you and feels good. There are plenty of exercise videos on YouTube with all range of capabilities from chair exercises to walking to strength, etc. Find one that works for you and do it for several weeks (I continue for a month before changing or adding.) then try the next level.
There's a new question posted for the week, and a new meditation for the day, check them out.
Talk with you tomorrow...
