I was planning on shopping for something to wear to the wedding but life had other ideas. I was going first to UPS to drop off my Amazon returns.
SnowWhite, my truck, seemed to start a bit slow but it started and and off to UPS I went. When I got there and turned off the truck, on the radio screen it said to start truck immediately, battery low. I turned the ignition right away. It took a bit, but the truck started.
Not sure what was going on, I thought maybe I hadn't driven it enough so I took a 30 minute drive. Just to be on the safe side, I went home, turned off the truck and the same prompt came up.
So, I called the garage and explained what was going on and they said to drive on down...it's about 30 minutes away. They took it in right away. At first they saw that the voltage regulator on the alternator was erratic. So they thought a new alternator was needed.
About an hour later, they came back and said it turned out to be a dead cell in the battery I just had them install about six weeks earlier. It was under warranty so they changed out the battery and the voltage regulator charged the right way.
Well, by that time, the afternoon was almost gone so home I went without returning things to the UPS store nor shopping for clothes!
Today I am hosting two chats so shopping is out. And tomorrow I am hosting another chat. This is going to be interesting...I am once again looking at my closet to see what I can come up with in a pinch.
