So I wanted to set up FIOS yesterday but realized that a previous tenant had cut the electric cord to the ONT so I had to call and get a technician out to fix it. Hopefully, today I will be able to get FIOS set up.
What are we celebrating this month? There are quite a few but the main ones are Alzheimer's Awareness Month, Gun Violence Awareness Month (Something we need to make more note of as it is the number one way that children die!) and Pride Month. June 19th is the celebration of Juneteenth which is the commemoration of the emancipation of enslaved people in the U.S.I managed to sort four of the boxes in the pantry. I will finish the rest today and that only leaves getting the boxes sorted and organized in my old bedroom.
Clusters...a group of similar things. In scrapbook journals, making clusters is a great way to make use of things that would normally be found in the wastebasket. I didn't really begin to make clusters until about a month ago. And now that I have been making and using them, I find them wonderful additions. Here are a few of mine...
These are small, only one inch to two inches high, so you can see that the clusters are made up of paper that would normally be discarded. But they are a great decorative additions to journals.
I inked around the edged of each item in the cluster and used a very strong stick glue for everything including the lace.
With the clusters in mind, I decided to create journal cards using both items that would normally thrown out along with other ephemera. Here are some of my cards...
Recycle and reuse even works with tiny scraps!
That's all for today...
Talk with you tomorrow...
