The smoke that blanketed our area has moved south. The sun is out this morning without that orange haze. And breathing has been easier.
The weekend is right around the corner, have you made any plans, checked out to see if there are any festivals or events to attend. We're in for a lot of emotional turmoil so take time this weekend to rest and relax. It's going to be a wild ride!
I was looking at scrapbooking journal YouTube videos and ran across one on making cardboard buttons (Check out Treasure Books Videos). I thought that was a interesting possibility to use in my journals but mine are much easier.
Supplies needed: Decorative paper, cardboard (think cereal boxes), scissors, glue and hole punch. Also needed are grommets (Metal reinforcements for holes in paper), grommet setter, small hammer and anvil, pictured below...
I used a quarter to make the circle out of decorative paper and then cut them out...
I glued the circles to cardboard...
I cut them out and punched holes...Finally, I added the grommets...
I'm looking forward to using these 'buttons' in my journals. I'll be sure to post pictures of the final results.
Again, take it easy this weekend...
Talk with you on Monday...
