The week is winding down...next week is the beginning for the full third week of the month. August is slipping away at record speed for me.
We found out one piece of good news yesterday. We drove the normal way my son uses to get to work and it is finally open. So when school begins in September, his commute will no longer be two to two and a half hours each way!
I worked on my latest journal yesterday, this time adding journal cards, tags and decorations. Here's what the pages (there are two per picture) looked like before and after...
You can see in the above photo, I added decorated journal cards in the pockets as well as decorating the pages with butterflies. I keep the back of the cards undecorated so the folks have a place to journal and on each of the pockets I added a word that can be used for journaling on the back of the cards contained in that pocket.
Here's another set...
Again, you can see that I added journal cards with the front decorated as well as decorating the pockets. And there is a word on the regular pocket as well as a phrase on the side tuck.
I still need to add some ribbon or lace to the top of the journal cards but I normally do that when everything else is finished.
I have decided to have four signatures in this journal but I am keeping the signatures small...only two or three pages...because the pages are thick and with the added cards, tags and note books, they will be very full.
This is the next to last weekend of August...have any plans? If not, check out the festivals and events for your area, you may find something that interests you. Or have a picnic at a local park. In other words, get out of the house and enjoy nature.
Talk to you on Monday...
