Already the insurance companies are suggesting that the costs from this hurricane are going to be high mostly due to the water.
If you have ever been in a hurricane you know what it is like. Many years ago I lived through two and that was enough for me. One, Camille, was very intense.
We were going to move Duchess but the ground is wet so we want to wait until it is a bit dryer.
I was cleaning up the desk where I make my journals and wound up making ephemera with all the little pieces of paper. I made large and small and to be honest everything inbetween.
For the larger ones I cut pieces of cardstock or lightweight boxes about one plus inch by three plus inches...
Using stick glue I begin adding small pieces of decorative paper...
until the cardstock is completely covered...
They don't look like much until trimmed...
and decorated...
I did the same thing with small pieces, about one half inch by two inches. I even trimmed the corners...
Then I went really crazy...
This happens every time I want to clean up my desk area...I wind up making a ton of ephemera for my journals. So, it's all good. And I get lots more stuff to use in my journals.
If you are in the hurricane area, please stay safe...
Talk with you later...
