November 22, 2023 Collaged Tags

It's down to the wire now if you haven't made any plans for Thanksgiving.  Last minute grocery shopping...DON'T GET A FROZEN TURKEY...you won't have time to thaw it out safely!

The rain is still here but not as heavy as last night.  There is lots of road flooding.  Looks like the day is going to be extremely cloudy and gloomy.

Last night I had finished all the work for the day and got ready for bed when I heard a thud outside.  It was windy and I remembered that I had not pulled the garbage cans in close to the garage.  So I put on my shoes and heavy robe, went out using my phone for light and found out that one of the cans had been hit.  Still usable but very dented.  The wind and rain were heavy and cold but I managed to pull in the cans so they would not be a danger to the cars driving by.

Yesterday, after cleaning the house and doing the laundry, I made a couple loaves of cranberry, cheddar cheese and nuts tea bread.  Today I am making a pumpkin pie, a pecan pie, two loaves of pumpkin tea bread and the lime, cottage cheese, mayo and nuts jello...yes, it is an acquired taste but I love it!

I did take a break and made some collaged tags out of scrap decorative paper.  I used a piece of card stock or heavy magazine pages as a base to which I glued paper scraps.  Check these photos out...

They don't look like much but check out these photos.  I cut the collaged pages apart and made a ton of tags...

A quick way to make lots of tags, use up scraps and create some unique looking tags.  I can now add the focal piece to each one as I put them in journals.

That's it for today...and for the rest of the week...

Please have a wonderful Thanksgiving, celebrating with family, friends or however you want to.

Talk with you next week...Then the countdown to Christmas starts in earnest.  (Should I tell you that I have mailed out one package already, purchased or made all the gifts and will send them before the end of the month!  Probably not!  But I have!!!)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
