I even got the outside tree set up with new lights...all the the old ones were not working!
Today I am going to do some shopping for baking, wrap presents and make supper. And if there is time, then I will photograph some more quilts for the guild to use in the fundraiser.
I have been craving some salmon balls using canned salmon so I think I will make some...and maybe make some roasted vegetables.
It's bright and sunny again. Highs are in the low 40's but I just spotted a high in the mid 50's popping up at the end of the week. Not exactly a December temperature!
Remember these...
They were tree ornaments which I made a few years ago. Supplies needed: Felt, white pipestem, beads plus a scissors. There's a lot of cutting, but if you cut in strips it reduces the time. You can find similar ornaments online with slightly different sizes. I used the following...
The number of felt squares for each size is first followed by the size of the felt square: 6 - 1/2 inch; 6 - 3/4 inch; 6 - 1 inch; 6 - 1&1/4 inch; 6- 1&1/2 inch; 6- 1&3/4 inch; 6 - 2 inch. Punch a very small hole in the middle of all the squares.
Push the pipestem through the felt squares, number and order of list above shaping the tree as shown by moving the squares. Twist the pipestem at the bottom to secure the squares. You can also add a bead at the bottom. At the top add the beads and then create a circle with the pipestem.
The ornaments are easy to make and turn out lovely. Give them a try.
That's it for today...
Talk with you tomorrow...
