January 18, 2024

Love the snowy picture.  No it's not from around here but we still have snow on the ground and more is forecast for tomorrow and the weekend.

However, next week there are four days of rain forecast along with warmer temperatures!  More rain is not what we need.  Many of the rivers, including the Hudson, are high and out of their banks in places!

So I sewed the square sections together with blue fabric in between each of the sections.  They are going to be long enough but not quite wide enough.

Remember I talked about have scrap strips.  I decided to sew them together to see how long they would be and found that they will be long enough if cut in have vertically to make one large strip in the middle between the two square sections.  You can see from the picture kind of how they will look...

My plans are to put a long strip of the same material down each side of the four by six square sections.  Then I will add the blue stripped fabric in the middle with the other piece of four by six square sections on the other side.

I am happy to report that I am down to two kitchen boxes in the basement to go through.  Not sure what is in each but will check them out to see if anything needs to go.  I found so many duplicate kitchen utensils that they fill up a medium packing box plus a bag.  Going to go through all of them this weekend.  I also have three large boxes of things going to Goodwill!  Christmas boxes are next in line to go through.

So did you take some time to think about your inner life?  One of the questions you may want to ask yourself is 'who am I'?  Yes, you are a child and you may be a parent or grandparent, a sibling, a friend or a spouse but think beyond that to who you are to yourself.

That's sometime a hard question to answer especially if you haven't really thought about it before.  Maybe a way to discover who you are is to ask yourself 'what do you believe'?  And here I mean all aspects of what you believe.  This evening why not write down a list of ten things that you believe.

Stay warm folks, and take care.

Talk with you tomorrow...
