I woke up to the 'white stuff' once again. We are suppose to get just a couple inches - five at the most. It's still snowing small, light flakes. Different from the previous snow storm with heavy wet flakes...heart attack snow!
So how are you doing? I am finding that getting back into normal gear in the new year somewhat difficult which has resulted in fewer posts. Sorry. Check out the question for the week in the sidebar to understand.
I have been working on a charity quilt for the guild. I found a large pile of four inch square fabric pieces and decided to make a scrap quilt. I am starting with six four by six square sections. Here are my first three:
I also found several similar size strips of scrap fabric which I want to include. I think what I will do is surround the six square sections with the same fabric and then add the strips of different fabric on the sides. My aim is to have the top and back (which I may also have to piece) done by the March meeting which is a charity sewing meeting.
Today I plan on working on some kitchen boxes in the basement again deciding what to keep, what to donate, what to use and what to pack. At this point I have more partially packed and empty kitchen boxes than totally packed ones!
The Christmas decorations are still up and will be for a few more weeks. I had planned on finishing up the kitchen boxes by now and start on the Christmas boxes...well, that didn't happen. My plan is to finish the kitchen boxes this week and begin on the Christmas ones next week.
So what are you plans for the week? I hope they include some time for yourself to do whatever you want...read, sleep, visit a museum, watch a movie, etc.
Talk with you tomorrow...
