Unfortunately, I am heading west next Monday and the highs where I am going are in the 90's. Not really looking forward to that temperature. Good thing I charged my ac in SnowWhite. It would be hard to drive without it.
So this is what's been keeping me busy the past couple of weeks...
The tomatoes plants have so many tomatoes on them that I will be able to can some of them. That is, if they don't ripen while I am still out west...The beans are beginning to climb and the peas are coming along. We do have a bit of a slug problems. Most plants with the foil around them, the slugs leave alone. But just in case, I also have an open container of beer in several places.Even plants planted in the ground seem to be doing well. The ground is so bad, I was surprised by how things are growing...
The peppers I planted (both sweet and hot) are also doing well...
I think keeping the garden will now amount to keeping watered, pulling any weeds and enjoying the results.Do you have a garden? As you can see we use mostly containers but a raised bed plus several large pots. You can plant something even if you only have a patio or deck on which to grow things.
That's it for today...check out the sidebars.
