And the Rockies were beautiful and breathtaking. I always have that experience. They are so much bigger than our 'mountains' back east.
However, the trip was not without problems. The day I left, in the early am (which would be the next day) there was a fire at the house. No one was hurt...my son and the cats are fine.
The fire was confined to one room, but it was the room next to my studio with a bathroom in between (think Jack and Jill bedrooms). So everything in my studio was covered with soot with lots of smoke damage. There was actually soot damage throughout the house on the main floor and smoke damage throughout the house.
The fire chief ruled it as an accidental fire so that should make things easier. As renters, we have to move stuff out completely before the owner's insurance can start repairs.
And, as there is no place to stay, I will be out here doing lots of the paper work while my son takes care of the physical things. I know that all my paper stuff like books, junk journals, etc. can't be saved as well as all my yarn. Not sure what insurance will cover. Have to wait and see about that.
At any rate, I will be posting on my blog but not as extensive as I have been.
I hope you have a wonderful day and count your blessings. I am so thankful that no one was hurt in the fire which was the most important thing as far as I am concerned.
Talk with you later...
