This morning it was below freezing!  Today is very cloudy...no shining sun is visible...only thick clouds.  Interesting the forecast is for sunshine and no clouds!

I actually may turn on the furnace to knock the chill off the house.

So this weekend, we worked outside getting things done in preparation for winter...things like turning off the outside faucets and covering them and winding up the hoses and storing them.  We also moved a dozen plus boxes from both Duchess and the storage unit into the house.

Today I plan on working on the boxes for several hours and also when it's the warmest part of the day, work an hour in Duchess in preparation for storing things in her when we get down to the end of time we are keeping the storage trailer.

HOWEVER, I did work on junk journals this weekend.  Basically, I made four covers on small journals.  Check out these...

I used a full sheet of decorative paper for each cover and covered both the outside and inside of the cover.  I also added two pockets to the inside cover...one for the front and one for the back.  Check these out...

My plan is to add four or five sheets, cut to size and folded in half, to each journal and using decorative thin yarn to secure them in place rather than sewing them to each journal.  I may change that but for now that's my plan.

The journals are about four inches by five inches and there is a thin piece of cardboard (think cereal boxes) inbetween the decorative paper so the covers are very stiff.  I still want to add some decorative elements as well as a closure to each journal.

I was thinking that if I decide to open the Etsy Shop and remake all the things I had before the fire, I may sell these in a packet of three.  I am thinking that I will not add much to the individual pages other than a sticker or two.  So these can actually be note journals.  What do you think?  I like the idea.

Well, it's off to deal with the boxes for now.  I think I will start with the ones downstairs because I think they are mostly kitchenware...good thing I still have room in the kitchen for more stuff.

Have a great day.  Oh and don't forget the Halloween candy for those Ghosts and Goblins that may knock on your door.

Talk with you tomorrow.
