A bit late this morning in posting but I decided to relax and not get going right away.  I was going to go out and arrange for new glasses now that I have scripts but I decided that I could wait until next week.  As I said, there was only a tiny change in the scripts from my current glasses...I just need new glasses because the ones I am using are literally falling apart!  They are being held together with Aleene's Tacky Glue.  I have to say that the glue is working well, but it can't fix the crack in the lenses!

The temperatures are in the mid thirties which isn't that cold but it feels much colder since it was 60 degrees a few days ago.  As I have said many times, this yo-yo weather is weird.  In 70 plus years I have gone from seeing lots of snow during winter and no temperatures in the 60's in the northern part of the states to seeing high temps and very little snow.  Changes like these used to take eons, not a few paltry years.

Watching what's happening in the government is interesting to say the least.  What do you think the odds are that the government will shut down until after the new year?  I think they're pretty high.  Seems to me that someone who wasn't elected is calling the shots right now.  Not a healthy situation for a democracy.

All my gifts are wrapped, I've picked up all the baking ingredients I need, the house is decorated, presents sent (and received) so I am in good shape as far as the holidays are concerned.  That's a nice feeling because I can now focus on other things like ideas for the blog, goals to think about for next year or just relax or read/listen to a book and maybe do some crafting.

How are you doing?  Plans in place and executed?  I hope so.  It's really nice to be able to enjoy the holidays rather than stress out about them.

One thing we are going to do is go to a drive through light display at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds.  It did cost some money but it's general admission so we can go whenever we want.  And it promises to be a big display as there are only three of them in the country.

The last weekend before Christmas and Chanukah (both begin on December 25th) is this coming weekend.  A good time to get everything done...unless you like to shop on Christmas Eve!  Hope, if needed, you finish everything you need to do.

Talk with you Monday...
