I took this picture several years ago at Disney World in Florida.  My favorite part of Disney World is Epcot Center.  Have you ever visited Disney...any Disney?  Not exactly cheap, but an enjoyable experience with a vast array of sights and sounds and rides, etc.

This morning it was minus 13 degrees!  That, folks, is cold.  The high might make it to the mid teens.  It is bright and sunny out, again with no wind which is very, very good.  SnowWhite has already been run for 30 minutes.  Tomorrow's forecast is ten degrees higher and by Sunday we're supposed to be around 40 degrees.  Minus 13 to plus 40...that's quite a swing!

So how are you doing today?  A bit anxious?  A lot of folks are these days.  Did you know that smells can calm anxious feelings?  Two that I was surprised about were oranges and peppermint.  It may be a good thing to have some oranges around.

Another way to reduce anxiety is to take deep long breaths.  And then there is the 3-3-3 rule.  Look around you for three objects, listen for three sounds and then move three parts of your body.  Sounds a bit weird, but it does work because it makes your mind concentrate on something other than your anxiety.  Try it out and see if it works for you.

Today's journal ephemera is hidden paper clips.  These can be used to attach something to a page in your journal like a card or a notebook, etc.  They're very simple to make and, again, you can use scraps.  Check out this picture...

You will need paper, scissors, paper clips and glue.  Cut a piece of paper about five times longer than the longest part of the paper clip and fold front sides together as shown on the first example on the left.

Next, fold the top piece up and over the paper clip and around to the back if necessary, gluing it securely as shown in the second example.

Next fold the back piece towards the back and up matching the front fold and covering the back part of the paper clip, again gluing it securely.

Finally, fold the piece from the back down over the front gluing it.

That's it...very simple.  But a hidden paper clip makes a nice addition to your journaling.  It can be just a simple hidden paper clip to add things to a page...

Or, it can be a little booklet to add to a journal page...

You can attach a pocket with a tag to it...

And the back of the hidden paper clip can be covered in decorative paper.  You can see the back of the paper clip at the top edge of the pocket...

Make several to have on hand while working on your junk journals.

Another prompt is posted on the sidebar.  Remember to read the blog in web version to see the sidebar.  Also, all the posted prompts are included under 'Pages' GETTING IT TOGETHER in case you missed a prompt.

Stay warm if you're experiencing the deep freeze...not a day to venture out if you don't need to...

Talk with you tomorrow...
