Bright and sunny this morning but quite cold outside - low 20's!

A third of the way into February already...I know I keep asking where the time goes...but really, it seems like only yesterday when it was time to get ready for the fall holidays!  Well, they are far gone now and the spring holidays are on the horizon!

I don't know if I mentioned this before, but the upstairs of the house is in fairly good order.  Large living room is straight with no boxes to go through and the everything stored in the guest room is nice and tidy - course the storage bin go almost to the ceiling!  I really needed a break from going through all those boxes.  There aren't many left, but I don't think I could have faced one more box right now.

My studio is a bit messy and now that I know I have everything that was saved here, I can really organize things.

Yesterday we talked about memories of our young childhood.  Today see if you can remember any events/experiences from those dreaded teenage years and consider if they had any lasting impacts on your life.

I managed to work some more on the current journal so I thought I would share two pages.  The first page is a pocket with a journaling card tucked inside.  On the back of the journaling card, you can see the prompt 'follow your heart'...

The second page has a belly band with a note book tucked inside.  The notebook has a cover and when opened reveals a 'water fall' of paper to write on with a prompt 'love reigns supreme'...

A good many folks are anxious these days considering the political situation.  We all have 'fight or flight' instincts in our body which help us in emergency situations.  But when we are in a state of constant anxiety, our fight or flight instincts are on constant high alert and that's not good.

One of the reasons for continued anxiety is that we tell ourselves stories that are of extreme outcomes whether we know it or not.  We can change that anxiety by changing the stories.  Instead of the 'sky is falling' version, consider a less extreme one like, 'well, the sky may be falling, but we have shelter'.  You get what I mean...

It's not that we should ignore an important situation...that's not a good option.  But we can seek options to mitigate our anxiety over the situation by doing something that is within our capability.

So there's another area posted in the Where to Declutter section on the sidebar.

Stay warm and safe...do something unexpected today...
Talk with you tomorrow...
