It's grey out with lots of clouds, so not a bright and sunny day. And the temperatures are in the high 20's.
You know, I have been starting my blog talking about the weather. Interesting that my mom always wanted to know about the weather everyday also. The difference is that I check it in the morning and she checked it in the evening.
I lost all my books in the fires some of which I really liked so I wanted to see if I could find them. This was one of them...
I was able to find a new recently updated version on Amazon at half price. I had two Gnomes' books. This one and one on Gnome crafts. I hope to find that one also.
This is the other book...
I had several Tasha Tudor books but this was my favorite. I was able to purchase this one used for very little money and it came today. A very pleasant surprise.
If you follow my blog, you know that Grandma Moses is my favorite painter. I did lose some of her books but this one was able to be saved because it wasn't in my studio at the time of the fire...
I hope to be able to find the rest of the Grandma Moses books again. Maybe they will be for sale at the Bennington Museum. That's where I purchased at least one of the books. And, of course, I usually visit the museum in the fall. I may have to visit twice this year...once in the spring and once in the fall!
Speaking of books. I have been listening to Deborah Crombie's, 'Duncan Kincaid & Gemma James Mystery Series. The main characters are police inspectors, one in Scotland Yard and one although started in Scotland Yard later transferred to the London Police. There are 19 books in the series with the first being written in 1993 and the latest in 2023. I have downloaded the audio books from the New York Public Library and have enjoyed every one of them.
So did you think about those teenage years' memories. I don't think any adult would consider that their teenage years were totally great. I certainly didn't, how about you? There were experiences that I loved, experiences that I absolutely hated, and everything inbetween. What we need to do is to understand that this was also a learning time for each of us (as was our young childhood) and we all made mistakes. It's the learning aspect that we should focus on and take forward, not the mistakes.
I didn't get around to decluttering a tool yesterday, but this morning when I walked into the area with the tools, I realized that we have dozens and dozens of screwdrivers...guess what I picked out to donate?...and entire set of screwdrivers!
That's all for today...
Stay warm, stay safe, and stay in tomorrow if there's a lot of ice...
Talk with you tomorrow...
