Well, it's going to be a lot cooler today.  It's only 33 degrees out right now although it is much earlier than I normally write a post.  Snow is forecast for right now but none is visible.  And the high today is only 42!  Tomorrow it's forecast for 50's and Sunday's high is only 27!  Go figure...this weather is beyond me!

Yesterday I managed to get several errands run including picking up a few groceries, getting my RSV shot and finally getting SnowWhite inspected.  She passed with flying colors although the wait was over an hour before she was even taken in to be inspected which took another half hour.

I did finish quilting the collage piece I am doing for The 100 Day Project...

If you look close, you can see that I quilted a continuing circle.  I used a metallic thread so it is shiny.  After considering different option for finishing the collage, I came up with a flower with the middle cut out.  Check out the collage with paper templates...

I'll audition several fabrics to see which I like best.  I plan on using zigzag stitch to attach the flower.

So, today is the last day of decluttering.  If you still feel overwhelmed with 'stuff', why not continue decluttering next month.  It certainly does not take a lot of time.

In the meantime, I have a new challenge for March.  And again, it's easy and will take very little time.   However, you need to gather a few items at the beginning and find a place to keep them together.

Here's what you need:  1. A piece of regular plain paper, card stock is preferable but regular copy paper will also work.  2. Writing tools: Pen, pencil, colored pencils, gel pens, crayons, markers (remember they will bleed through the paper), etc.  3. A method to save the paper at the end of the month, if desired. You can frame it, laminate it, etc.

Here's how the challenge works:  Each day, on the piece of paper or card stock, write or draw a picture of something you are grateful for. Keep it simple with one or two words or a very small drawing. The object is to create a single page full of things for which you are grateful to remind you of life's gifts.

I will post my gratitude paper each weekday in hopes that you will find the time to create your own throughout the month.

Spring begins next month, March 20th to be exact.  It's time to gather plans for gardens, yards and outside places like patios and decks.  Check out your area to see if there are any garden shows?  They are always fun to walk through and gather ideas.

Any plans for the weekend?  If it's nice enough to go outside, go for a walk...maybe a park or even in your own neighborhood.  At any rate, have a fantastic weekend...

Talk with you on Monday...
