I went out on an errand yesterday with a light weight short sleeve shirt, sweater and light jacket and I roasted.
Today I want to move the things out to SnowWhite for donations and then spend an hour or so picking up the small branches that are littering the yard. I also want to check the area by the storage unit to see if I can get into it without slipping and sliding on the mud. It will be interesting to see if any and what type of spring flowers have raised their heads in the yard.
So, I managed to do both 100 day projects with one idea...collaging papers for journals. I used stick glue and slightly inked the edges. One of the reasons I ink edges is to eliminate the whiteness of the torn paper. For these pages, I used pieces torn from magazines. Check these out...
Reminds me of 'cut and paste' from kindergarten...actually, I wonder if kids do any cut and paste activities or is everything done virtually? I hope not.
This weekend, while out and about, I saw about a dozen kids on regular bikes, riding together. They were probably junior high age. It was nice to see. They were laughing and having fun, exercising (although I doubt they understood that) and talking face to face. I know that the future for these kids lies in knowing how to handle computers, etc. but I hope that they do not completely give up getting out and doing something in person with others.
I added to my gratitude challenge...
