Another nice day...but rain is in the forecast later on.  Looks like a sunny, warm (in the low 60's) day so I will be able to continue working on the containers.

I had hoped to put them altogether yesterday but it took several hours to remove the plastic film.  It was an interesting situation.  The company that made the containers made no mention of removing the film.  But after looking at several sites, the decision to remove it seemed better than to leave it on.  So off it came.

I have the sides together and the am in the process of putting the corner pieces on the end piece.  Then it will be a matter of putting the sides and ends together...although I think that will be a frustrating experience.

So I do have some pictures of pages from the art journal.  There pages aren't done...they are in the process of 'creation'...

 

For the most part, they have good bones for the beginnings of art pages.  The blue and orange pages are fabric collages.  But all of them still need that 'something' that completes the page...at least for the time being.

I'm not sure that I will be able to spend much time working in my studio today because I really want to finish with the containers, set them up on hardware cloth and fill them halfway with twigs, branches and compost before adding the dirt.  

If these work out well, then I will purchase two more for this year's garden.  Those containers plus the small area the previous owner used as a garden should give me quite a lot of growing space.

I had one extremely pleasant surprise yesterday.  It was the first time this year that I heard the morning birds give their summer concert.  It was almost magical to hear them once again.  It seems like all the birds are back from their winter vacations and ready to serenade us.  I think I will be taking my morning coffee on the deck from now on.
