Bright and sunny this morning and around 50 degrees going to a high of 80...a bit warm for this time of year.

I had lots of errands to run yesterday and I also made a big dinner.  Meatloaf, baked yams, stuffing and green bean casserole.

The thing is that I bought everything I needed for the meal except an onion, some bread and three eggs and the total was $41.  And considering that the ground beef was on sale for $3.49/pound, I know this meal cost more than the last time I made it.  Actually, for a simple, stable meal, one that I made many times in the past, it has gone up in price considerably!  Still waiting for the grocery prices to decrease!

I'm still working on both my 100 day projects but after seeing what some folks have done, I definitely haven't been quite as productive.  But I do like what I've done and am happy about being able to explore some little used techniques!

Today I plan on cutting the hardware cloth and finishing setting up the second set of containers.  Then add the compost to the first set along with some dirt and coconut core.  If time permits, I will start picking up yard debris to add to the second set of containers.

Lining the sidewalk, there are two spots that lack small hostas so I want to transplant some hostas to fill the areas...there are plenty of those hostas all over the yard.  (I wonder if in the past there was a sale on them!)

So do you have any plans for the day?  Or do you even make plans, a list of to-dos for the day?  Some folks make intricate plans, even hour by hour.  There was an editor of a major magazine who used to plan minute by minute.  That seems a bit extreme for me but it obviously worked for her.

I jot down a short list of things I would like to accomplish, usually no more than six.  At night, I cross off those I finished and add those not done to the next day if needed.  The one thing that I am not is a slave to the list.  If something else pops up, and the list does not contain absolutely must dos like pay bills, I will drop the list and explore the experience that pops up.

Are you open to exploring new experiences even if it means ignoring your to-do list?  I hope so.  No one should be so inflexible that they forego exploring new possibilities in favor of doing their to-do list.  You never know what you may be missing...it may be something that turns your life in a new direction.  Maybe a new creative idea.  Or a new community to join.  So next time something pops up...leave your list and go for it.

Enjoy your day...
Talk with you tomorrow...
