I was going to Bennington today but after looking at the website, I realized that the museum is closed on Wednesdays. Sigh! I thought it was Mondays not Wednesdays. Now I have to rethink my plans for the day. I might visit the closest quilt store and the local library.
Dinner last night was pretty good. The pork chops were a bit dry but the marinade was fantastic. Smashed potatoes perfect. The zucchini fritters turned out fine but were on the bland side. I did not have sour cream which is what they are usually served with. Next time I will add a bit more herbs or maybe some cheese.
I did work a bit more on the mountain scene...
I have a bit more work on the basic mountains first. Then I'll work on the sky. I don't think it will be a complete collage effect but it won't be a single blue fabric either.
It's October folks...three months left of year 2025 and you know how fast those last months go. That slide from fall into the winter holidays is one of the fastest part of the year. Not in reality, of course, but in perception!
So, there's a new word for the month. Harvest. The literal definition of harvest is gathering in produce (think vegetables, etc.). Symbolically harvest also means reaping rewards, finishing efforts, abundance and even gratitude.
There's also a new challenge for the month but it's an easy and fun one. First of all, you need to decide how long each day you want to spend on the simple challenges...ten minutes, fifteen minutes or longer. Each day's challenge will be in the sidebar. I hope you will take the time to accomplish each challenge because the aim of each is to refresh and indulge yourself.
That's it for today...have an amazing day...
Talk with you tomorrow...
