I am washing my bedding today and putting on the electric blanket to at least warm up my bed before getting in!
The car is back in the shop so I am without a vehicle today. Good thing we went to the grocery store yesterday as well as getting some fall things done outside.
We are starting a warming trend so I hope to work a bit outside today in the garden and with some of the flowers...maybe start to dig up some hosta plants and divide them. The pine trees are shedding their needles fast. I think I will look at what type of weaving I can do with pine needles. There certainly is enough.
Remember yesterday I told you about the 'Book of Scraps' I saw on Treasure Books. Well, I have a start. I didn't have black cardstock and I didn't want to use white, so I am using gold.
I first folded them in half lengthwise, then I added a strip of cellophane tape on the fold, both sides. This will strengthen the cardstock pages when I sew them into a booklet. I then added the scraps. Check out these two page spreads...
Remember, this is just the beginning of this project.
Do you have any plans for the weekend? Check around and see if there are any places to pick apples or enjoy some cider or even a fall festival. It's that time of year. How about a corn maze or a hayride? Don't let time slip by without doing something enjoyable or maybe new to you.
There's a new challenge listed in the side bar...check it out.
Talk with you on Monday...
