These are the Nippon Daisies that are in full bloom.  We didn't cut them back this spring (which is what is recommended) so they were quite tall and a bit unwieldy.

Yesterday it was 83 degrees...hot for October.  And today isn't much better...79-81.  Wednesday is the beginning of a cool spell with highs in the low 60's.

The Vikings had another early Sunday morning international game which this time they won!  So basically I watched football morning, noon and night!  My idea of a wonderfully restful day.

The car is still in the shop so my truck is being used for commuting...thus I am stuck at home.  But I have lots to do today so I probably wouldn't have gone out.  I do want to make it to the Bennington Museum this week, except Wednesday, so I can see the 'Dear Jane Quilt'.  It's packed up in one week.

I did get a bit more done on the mountain scene adding the sky...

I also got a lot done on the book of scraps.  I won't show all the two page spreads, just a few.  So far I have glued down scraps on all the pages.  I then added some ink stamped marks using lots of different stencils.  Next came a bit of lace on each page followed by stamped flowers.  Finally, I added some gold leaf on each page.  There are several more things to add to each page before stitching the pages into a book.  Check out these few photos...

I still don't understand why I am drawn to make junk journals, but I really do.  Cut and paste...maybe it reminds me of my childhood.

So how is your week looking?  Busy?  Be sure to add some time for yourself.  And, the next October challenge is posted and I hope you'll look for something new to try.

Until tomorrow have an amazing day...talk with you tomorrow...
