Another very warm day again today...78-80 high but tomorrow the high is only in the mid 60's...along with rain!  I don't know about you but I sure could use some fall weather about now.

Still without a vehicle so it's looking like the possibility of seeing the 'Dear Jane Quilt' this year is not very good.  I can still see the Grandma Moses paintings though and, hopefully, some fall color.

I've been working on a quilt presentation that includes partly my own journey in quilting as well as some how to's with three or four quilting techniques.  One of the problems I am running into is the missing early creations most of which were lost in the fire.  I am debating on whether to recreate a couple items of not...like the very beginning of hand cutting and hand sewing quilt blocks which in my case were very small.  You know the typical easy beginner ones...

I spent some more time on the journal of scraps adding phrases and premade scrap ephemera.  Check out these spreads...

The phrases are easy to find.  If you don't see the scrap ephemera, it's basically lots of little scraps on a dark background with torn edges.  In the last photo, you can see two of them.  The one of the right hand side is below the two phrases.  These pieces of ephemera are 3-D so they do stand out when viewing in person.

Looks like there may be some hope in ending the government shut down but I don't like to count my chickens until they're hatched...basically, it's a wait and see situation.

There's a new challenge posted...hope you enjoy this one.

Have a great day and stay cool...
Talk with you tomorrow...
