I did get the rest of the sidewalk area done and most of the area in front of the driveway. Some of the plants are still thriving so I didn't want to cut them down yet.
Today I want to work on the plants on the patio and maybe do a bit winterizing and straightening around that area. I've already cleaned the upstairs this morning so vacuuming and dusting the downstairs is left to be done as well as finishing up my laundry. A busy day...
I imagine most all of you also have busy days...probably much busier than mine to be honest. And a lot of you are just plain exhausted by the end of the day. So this weekend, I want you to do something. I want you to plan a treat for yourself.
It can be anything you want. Maybe a solid hour of reading, or a homemade spa treatment in the bathroom, or making a special meal that you love, or window shopping, or a walk in the park, or time spent working on your hobby, or even a long nap in the afternoon!
Too many of us, especially women, but lately more and more men also, forget that we need to take care of ourselves. We need to have time to rest, relax and recuperate from a busy everyday life. I really hope you will take the time out of your schedule this weekend to treat yourself because all of us are worthy of that special time.
I saw something in one of the books I was reading about changing up a room inexpensively. Basically, change the tablecloth on your dining table. I had put up the season of orange all over but had not changed the table cloth on the table until last week. And you know what, it made a really big difference. I was surprised.
No extra tablecloth...check out the thrift stores but don't limit your search to tablecloths. Try the bedding for sheets or thin blankets, or the drapes, or even women's clothing for an item with an over abundance of fabric. You'd be surprised at what you can find when you look 'outside the box'.
Have an absolutely wonderful weekend and be sure to treat yourself.
Talk with you on Monday...
