Well, we went from spring like weather and green grass to winter weather and about a foot of snow in one weekend!  It basically snowed all day on both days.  A wet quiet snow that hung to everything and made it look like a magical place, a winter wonderland!

So the weekend football games were mostly very good.  And tonight is the college national championship game between the Miami Hurricanes and the Indiana Hoosiers.  The football season is slowly coming to an end...sigh!

We are over halfway through the month of January,  how are your intentions for 2026 coming along?  And have you decided what type of intentions you want...lots of short term or few long term?  Or have you decided to have both...one or two year long intentions and several short term ones?

For instance, say one of your intentions concerns your finances and how you approach that intention is to add monthly an amount to your savings or paying an amount on what you owe.  If it is mostly the same, then having a long term intention seems appropriate.  If you have several short term projects you want to finish, then having those as short term intentions may work better.

And by separating your intentions into categories such as health, finances, career, spirituality, creative adventures, personal growth, simplicity, etc. you will be able to easily see if the intentions fit better...either long term or short term.

So this week make sure all your intentions are separated into categories and decide whether they are short or long term intentions.  Don't worry about how many intentions you have but think about where those intentions fall on a scale of one to ten, one being very important and ten being nice to think about but maybe not something you want to do.

This weekend I did finish the four free collage lessons along with all the videos that accompanied them.  I actually did learn a lot and found that I  really do enjoy the activity of collaging.  First I gathered papers in several categories:  Light plain, light patterned, medium plain, medium patterned and dark plain, dark patterned.

The first lesson was to fill in two inch squares with one light and one patterned piece...

The second lesson was to fill in a three inch square with three pieces...

The third lesson was to use three pieces from the leftover cuts from the first two lessons without filling in the space.  And adding another option in my case, glitter pens in black and gold...

And lesson four was to fill in a five inch square with lots of little pieces, leaving space between but then connecting them and using the added option...

It really was a lot of fun and I found that this approach made it much easier to achieve a collage that I love.  And there were lots of different possibilities when making collages.  I used purchased decorative papers that I had on hand, but you can use papers that you paint or papers from magazines adding other elements such as doilies or gold foiling, glitter pens, etc.  Actually, there's really no end to making collages including using fabric.

It's Martin Luther King Day today, take a few minutes to think about the contributions that he made to civil rights as well as how those are in danger right now.

Have an amazing day and if you are looking for something to do...try making a collage.  All you need is some stick glue, scissors, a piece of paper as a base and then whatever you find including a few magazine pictures to cut up and use.  It's really lots of fun...and there is no right or wrong way...only your way and what you like...

Talk with you tomorrow...
