The bush at the front which I was going to trim but didn't is looking much better after being fed. It has lots of leaves forming and even several blossoms which are more blue than lilac in color and don't have quite the strong sweet smell as the back bush. I'm going to feed both bushes once more and do some discreet trimming this fall.
So, I made it out to Utah in three long (11 hours driving) days. My GPS kept warning me about a winter storm which could affect my route. It didn't because the storm was the day and evening before I drove through the area. But Cheyenne really did get hit with a lot of deep snow...
The top of the storm was in Wyoming and the bottom was in Denver. In between those areas got the most and that's where I normally drive through Colorado.
This time I drove to Rock Spring, Wyoming and took highway 191 (basically a two lane road) down to Vernal, Utah. What an absolutely beautiful drive with Flaming Gorge, the Green River Dam, the winding roads at both the top of the mountains and in the valleys.
It's not a road to take to make time and you need good brakes for those drives down the mountain side, but it definitely is one to admire the beauty of nature. There were lots of off road trails which I would have loved to have been able to take...maybe another time. I do want to drive back through the area and this time stop and admire the views and take pictures!
I didn't stop at any restaurants, not even fast food ones, this time. Instead, I brought meals in a can and ramen noodles with me, tuna and crackers, bagels, cheese and meat sticks and fruit. Saved money but more than that it saved a lot of time.
I have unpacked, got my computer and craft area all set up...you know I couldn't have survived without my creative ventures. It's cold and I didn't really pack for cold weather...may have to pick up some warmer clothes. Thank goodness I keep a sweatshirt jacket in the truck along with a medium fleece short jacket.
Hope the weather is nice where you live and that you can get out and enjoy some time in nature. Have a wonderful day...
Talk with you tomorrow...
