It looks like Irene is going to to be a rain, water and flooding event. I have never heard of NYC evacuating folks nor stopping the transit system. Keep the folks on the East Coast in your thoughts. They've already had so much rain, there's no place for any additional water to go.
I did get out a bit today and shot some pictures of the C & O Canal...
I loved this old building...not sure what it used to be though...
This is a small falls in the creek which runs by our campsite...
