Just a quick post to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday.
And please be careful about fires. The fireworks displays were cancelled in most if not all of Utah for both tonight and tomorrow night. At one time this afternoon, the smoke from the major fires obscured the mountains and the sun. The air was very acrid and filled with little bits of 'stuff'. And the fires are no where near this area.
Coming back from a trip to the grocery store today, I saw transport buses filled with firemen on the interstate. The heat and windy conditions are making firefighting very difficult. Keep the firemen and women in your thoughts tomorrow and take care with your use of fire.
