Do You Inchie?

Do you inchie?   That is, do you make inchies?   I've talked about them before but for those of you who are new - inchies are pieces of art that are only 1 inch square.

Here are some samples of my inchies...

Some of them are even books...

The sky's the limit and with the inchie creations so small, costs are really negligible.   Literally, you can use scraps of paper, fabric or any other resources you might salvage.

To make the squares, you can use a ruler, pencil and scissors.   Grab an empty cereal box for the foundation.   As an alternative, there are one inch punches...

Both of these work well with light weight paper but the two handle squeeze type is easier on the hands and does handle heavier paper or lightweight cardboard better.

Those dollar bins at the craft stores have lots of things that can be used like glitter and even paper punches...
Their punch outs are so small, they are perfect for inchies.

There are even small stamps that can be used, many of them located in the sale aisles...

Any creative process that you use can be applied to inchies.   I have made fabric quilt type inchies, embroidery, collage, stamping, stenciling, painting, drawing, etc., etc.

There are many pinterest boards dedicated to inchies.   And there are many places to swap inchies.   I host a swap at Roses On My Table - Inch by Inch page.   It's free to join and the only swapping costs are for mailing.   If you're interested stop by and check us out.

I hope all you folks who have had the fun of the latest storm are digging out okay.   Keep safe and warm...spring will be here soon.

Back to taking down some more Christmas decorations...

Thanks for visiting...

Enjoy yourself...
