Errands, To-Do Lists and ATCs

First of all, I do apologize for not posting yesterday...my time got away from me and before I knew it...well, it was already today so I decided to just wait and post today.   And, as you can see, I am once again posting late as errands (including getting the car serviced) took more time that I thought they would.   Isn't that always the way...

I will write up my to-do list, figuring about how much time each item would take and then I add an hour or two depending on the list.   Well, today I should have added about ten hours because I am still not done...and believe me, after I post, I will close down for the day and rest.

So, the skies are still full of snow as are the mountains...
...at least there was a bit of blue sky although it did not stay that way very long.

One of the things I did today was mail off my postcard art.   Remember that I had used a metal edging so I was wondering if the post office would take it.  Yep, but they added a few cents for special handling which was fine with me.   I was really ecstatic that they accepted it.

Between appointments, I did stop and do some shopping at a craft store...well, it was right on the way and who could resist stopping...not me!   I picked up a magazine for organizing my craft area...

And, if you have noticed, I have been doing some crocheting again.   I found these two books crammed full of cute ideas.   I especially like the yellow duckies...

And need I say that I also needed more yarn...hmmmmm...I have fallen in love with in love with the Simply Soft line by Caron.  Yes, I know it is not expensive (all the better for my pocketbook) but it is soft and I love crocheting with it.   The basket I made for my jewelry was made out of it.

I also finished my latest swap...ATCs.   The theme was Tea Party and only one idea came to mind and blocked out any others.   It's probably not the greatest idea but it meant something special to me because it was about my grandma and me...

The paragraph at the bottom reads:  'I remember Grandma's Bone China Tea Cups which she served full to the brim of hot tea along with cream, sugar lumps and crumpets.   All on a beautiful lace tablecloth and just to make us fee special.   Aren't Grandma's Wonderful!'

And you know what, that's what I remember.   Sitting at her dining room table (where everyone who visited sat) drinking tea with real cream, sugar and whatever goodies she had baked.   And yes, the cups were bone china and there was always a lace tablecloth (which she made) on the table.

I hope you have wonderful plans for the weekend.   I plan on watching my PBS shows tomorrow as well as the last round of games of March Madness before the final one on Monday...and, of course, do a little crocheting.

Thanks for stopping by...
See you on Monday...
