Finally Spring and A Treat for the Kitties

Today has been beautiful...clear blue sky, gentle breezes and warm temperatures.   How wonderful.   I have the patio door open...and I even hung up my wind chimes.

But I also did something else...this time for the kitties...

Yep, I set up the kitty fence...

They actually have more room because one side is the patio doors.  I managed to hook the edges to the trim work without any hardware and the white top fit perfectly.

You're probably wondering what the green plastic bin top is doing on the fence.   Well, it is covering the hole that normally goes in front of the storage bin on the trailer so that the kitties have easy access in and out at their leisure.   I rescued the old top from the garbage, drilled a hole in each corner and secured it with plastic ties.

Inside, I just open the two doors to let the kitties out.   I had two tension rods, so I sewed pockets on both ends of an old towel and hung it up.   That way they won't be tempted to jump on top of the mesh. Also, it can cut down on the sunlight inside.

All in all, I think it worked out quite well.   And Chip and Dale have been going in and out all day long, including when I was trying to set it up...well, the fence was up at least.

I mailed out the last of this month's swaps today so I am all caught up for the moment.   More swaps coming up.

I hope your weekend was great and that spring has finally come to your place.   Final game of the March Madness tonight.   I'll be watching, how about you?

There's a new journal prompt up...
Thanks for checking things out here...
See you tomorrow...
