THE NEW YORK RENAISSANCE FAIRE

Well, the weekend plans were exciting and lots and lots of fun. If you have a chance to visit a Renaissance Faire, be sure to try it out. The one in New York at Tuxedo Park was excellent. About the only less than comfortable thing was the temperature. It was close to 90 and humid.

The entertainment was outstanding with 125 different acts from singing...

To educational acts like falconry...

To magicians, fire acts, plays, rousting, archery, etc., etc., etc. What I would suggest is that when you arrive at the faire, look at the schedule to see what acts you want to attend (which, by the way, are included in your ticket). Keep in mind that you may not be able to see all the acts in one day.

There were rides, human or animal powered, for kids...

including paddle boats...

As well as games for adults like hatchet throwing...

To knife throwing, to dart throwing, to rotten tomato throwing, to archery and on and on and on. There were lots of games for kids also.

Food and beverage vendors were abundant as were handcraft venders. One part of the faire that I enjoyed was the Viking Village. There were entertaining historians telling and showing folks about the history and culture of the Vikings.

Just walking around and seeing everyone and everything was fun. Lots of folks visiting the faire dressed in costume.

I'd not only recommend attending the faire to everyone, I will definitely be going again...

Well, it's hot here for one more day so I have the ac on. The temperatures are supposed to drop about ten degrees beginning tomorrow. Can't wait because walking outside in these hot and humid days are not my thing...not the walking, just the climate.

About my studio rearrangement...it's great but I forgot how much Linus and Lucy like to talk!...all the time!...at high volume! And covering them up doesn't stop their talking!!! Oh well, at least they are happy.

Hope your weekend was great...
Thanks for visiting...
Talk to you later...
