OUR OLD HOUSE!!!

The home that I and two of my children are living in is large which is nice for three adults with lots of different needs. The main part of the home was built in the 1700's shortly after Cornwall was established.  On two of the three floors, the floor is original...

On the main floor (there are three floors) we have the living room, dining room plus the pantry which I will show later.  This is the entrance into the main living area...

This is one of the two original fireplaces. It is not working at present but the landlord would like to get it back to working condition. The other fireplace located in the lower level is the kitchen fireplace. That room is my bedroom.  I'll share photos of that room in a later post.

We used the furniture that we brought with us rather than purchase new things to begin with, so there are three rockers and a wingback chair and lots of old, old furniture  Here's the living room from three angles. No, the tin ceiling is not original.

That's Chip in the chair. By the way, there are four cats and four birds. The cats have come to a truce of sorts. They will still hiss and trade paw swipes with one another but no big fights. And we have noticed that they will all share the same room without any difficulty.

Today was cold and rainy. It's supposed to clear up tomorrow but then a big storm is due on Thursday. Our area will probably miss the snow and just experience another rain event.

The yard is big...really big...so there's no problem parking my truck or any of the other vehicles and next summer I plan on bringing Duchess back and parking her here.

That's all for today, folks...
Thanks for stopping in...
Talk with you tomorrow...
