SCRAP FABRIC MUG RUG

In the last post, I showed how to make a teacup cosy and rug using fabric.

Today, I wanted to show how to make a mug rug using fabric scraps and quilting all at one time.

You need a piece of batting, fabric backing and the fabric scraps.

Layer the backing, batting and scraps as shown right side together in the middle of the square...

Continue adding fabric scraps as shown...

You can add scraps that have been sewn together as shown..

When finished, trim and sew a line around the edge to secure the fabrics...

Finally, add a binding all around...

That's all for today.  It's raining here again and the temperatures have fallen.  We still have window air conditioners in the windows and until they are out, I won't turn on the furnace!!!

Confirmation hearings for Judge Barrett are continuing.  After listening to how she answered questions I believe that she will vote to overturn both Roe v. Wade and the ACA.  Question is what will Roberts and Gorsuch decide...actually, I believe it comes down to Gorsuch.  Should be interesting. And this confirmation is happening while folks are voting...GOP's sure changed how they view Supreme Court Appointees in a voting year...just saying!!!

Talk with you tomorrow...
