March 1, 2023 Journal Pages

There's still snow on the ground but about half has already melted and with the increasing temperatures by tomorrow evening it will probably be all gone!

It was extremely foggy this morning.  But the roads are clear so commuting will not be too bad.

I shared the picture of the large fabric cover last week and today I want to share pictures of three of the pages so far.

There are pockets for tags on each page but I haven't added the tags for the most part yet.  I am also going to sew on some lace on the edges of some of the papers.  The pictures are front page, back page and middle spread.  There's a blue hue on the pictures but rather than photograph them again, I decided to use them blue hue and all!

I began with one of the regular printer papers that I dyed with coffee.  It is has a crinkle effect but is also stronger.  This has three triangular pockets and one rectangular pocket.

This page also began with the same type of paper as the above page.  On the front page, I included a side pocket.  On the back page I added four pockets, two side and two vertical.  Note the tags are in these pockets.  On the left hand side of the spread I have a waterfall where folks can write on several pages.  On the right hand side I included two side pockets...one large and one small.  Again the tags are in the pockets however the tags are not finished.

For this page I used a thin cardboard as the base.  I like to include thicker pages in my journals.  The front and back pages have triangular pockets.  On the left hand side of the spread In included three slopping pockets and on the right hand side there are three horizontal pockets.

I plan to include between ten and twelve sheets of paper which will give 20 to 24 pages.  I am not sure how I will attach the pages to the cover yet but that's a bit in the future.

If you have never made a journal, give it a try.  It's like the cut and paste that you did in school.  When I sit down to work on a journal, the time seems to just melt away.  And there are tons of ideas on YouTube.

That's it for today...
Back to working on the living/dining room...
Talk with you tomorrow...
