The sun is brightly shining and the sky is mostly light blue. There is some precipitation coming this evening in the form of ice, sleet and rain. Not sure what that means for the weekend.
Last night we took the car to the garage after my son got home from work around 7pm. The garage is about 45 minutes from here so it was a late evening.
I did manage to find the spring decorations. I didn't actually pack them away in one box which is why I couldn't find them at first. They were scattered in four different knick-knack labeled boxes. Next time I will label the boxes spring!
But things are up and the living room looks nice. I have an old wingback chair that isn't in very good condition. I purchased a slipcover from Amazon for only $19.99 thinking that if it doesn't work, I can send it back. Well, the slipcover fit nicely and the chair looks great and gives a pop of color (teal) in the living/dining room. Definitely a money saving fix as I couldn't have purchased fabric to make a slip cover for anywhere near that price.
Today I am going to take an inventory of the boxes left in the basement along with a diagram of where they are located. I need to finish going through all the fabric boxes and I am still looking for things for the kitchen but that will be on next week's agenda.
This weekend I want to enjoy working on my journals and fabric projects and not the household projects. What about you? Are you planning anything fun for the weekend? Please include some time for yourself and something you want to do, not need to do.
