The leaves on the trees are all out now. There would even be shade...that is if the clouds ever go away.
And it looks like the yard will be mowed for the first time this season sometime today. It's quite tall so the mower is going to have a hard time. Glad it's not me mowing!
Three people shot for no reason at all...ringing a doorbell, driving in the wrong driveway and turning around and accidentally heading to the wrong car! There is something wrong here, folks. Add to that the abundance of guns and we have a crisis situation. Are we that afraid of each other that we now act and ask questions later!
I am still listening/reading the Number 1 Ladies Detective Agency Series by Alexander McCall Smith. I am currently reading "In the Company of Cheerful Ladies". The leading lady after a long engagement was finally married at the end of the last book, "The Full Cupboard of Life". Still not sure why I like this series so much but I really do enjoy reading it.
I am also reading a book by John Phillip Newell titled "Sacred Earth, Sacred Soul: Celtic Wisdom for Reawakening To What Our Souls Know and Healing The World" which is about the Celtic history and leaders concerning the idea of spirituality. I have read and enjoyed Newell's other books and so far this one has not disappointed.
Another book about spirituality that I am reading is one that is a series of dialogues between the author and other leaders. The title of this book is "Reimagining the Sacred: Richard Kearney Debates God..." It's a series of contemporary conversations about the sacred in a secular culture and the philosophy of religion. It's a deeper read so far but the dialogues between such differently held beliefs/non beliefs is definitely holding my interest.
And I just finished reading a cosy mystery called "Little Bookshop of Murder: A Beach Reads Mystery" by Maggie Blackburn. It was a fun read and if you enjoy cosy mysteries, I think you would enjoy this one.
Today I am putting up a different shelf in my studio and moving the one I have set up into the living room. I plan on unpacking the books and putting them on the shelves in the living room. If we are staying here for possibly two more years, then I am not going to live with everything in boxes!
That's it for today...
Enjoy your day...
Talk with you tomorrow...
