How many of you make lists? Daily to-do lists? Lists of goals? Lists of things you would like to see? Lists of things you would like to do? A bucket list?
Women tend to make more lists than men and older women make more lists with paper and pen/pencil. Men do make lists but they tend to use other methods to make the lists like a smart phone as do younger women.
There are even blogs about lists, many feature only lists. It's interesting to see the variety of list topics...some are way out there!
I always make a daily list of things I need to do. Things like take meds, feed the cats, clean the house, etc. I even make in depth lists of things to do when reorganizing a room or deep cleaning (like spring cleaning) or even when packing to move!
It's funny, though, I don't make lists of things that I want to do or enjoy doing? Things like reading or working on a hobby like quilting or making junk journals or places I want to see, etc. Wonder what that says about me? Guess that Mid-Western Work Ethic is still ingrained in my mind!
I think I will try to make both a daily need to-do list and want to-do list. I think I will even make a list about places or events I want to visit. The first on the place I want to visit is the Bennington, Vermont Museum (the Grandma Moses Paintings!). But after that...well, not sure. It will take some time.
So what about you? Do you make lists? What type? Things you have to do or things you want to do?
I think we all need to make more lists of things we want to do and less of things we have to do! After all, we only go around once in this life so we might as well enjoy it as much as possible.
That's it for today...
Enjoy your day...
Talk with you tomorrow...
