It's bright and sunny with the high almost 80 today. Sitting in the patio will be very inviting.
Can you believe that Memorial Day Weekend is this coming weekend!!! Where is that time going...way too fast.
I delivered the guild fabric yesterday to another guild member. And, I did finish sorting and measuring the fabric first, labeling each box for easy access to what's needed. Made a lot more room in my old bedroom where we are storing things we are not using...and in my studio which is where they were located while I sorted out the fabric!
I was trying to think of craft ideas that corresponded to our question of the week about health and fitness...basically, exercise...and I came up with three things.
First, a nature journal. You can make one from scratch or purchase an inexpensive notebook and decorate the cover if desired.
Then, after you have taken your walk, make note of things you have seen like types of birds and trees and flowers. Maybe what the birds or other animals were doing. You can even add natural things like leaves to your journal. Who know, it may the the beginning of a new hobby like birdwatching, or even gardening!
Another activity that is similar would be to collect things like pebbles or leaves or twigs or unused bird nests, etc. on your walk. Get a cardboard box and decorate it if desired, then store your nature walk finds in it. After several walks you may have enough to create a collage.
And if you aren't interested in collecting things, how about collecting photographs. You can stop and take pictures of things that interest you and either print them out to add to your nature journal, or keep a special journal or file of them on your computer.
Finally, you can create a motivation jar with different types of exercises. Find a jar or other container and decorate if desired. Print up and cut into slips or write on precut slips of paper different exercises, videos to use or places to walk. Pull one when you are going to exercise and do what's on the slip.
