June 1, 2023. Another Scrapbooking Journal Idea

June has arrived!  It's warm and sunny out...perfect weather for enjoying a cup of tea on the patio...which I did!

The beginning of the month is a good time to take a peak at those goals you set in January.  How are you doing with them?  Do you need to change, update, eliminate, etc. any of them?

For me, I am doing great with my exercise.  I am now doing 3 miles on the exercise bike, walking a faster mile indoors, and increasing my use of ten pound weights.  Still not great walking outdoors but getting better.

Organization is another area which is coming along very well.  My weight and finances are okay but not great.  Small progress but I would like to do better.  The Etsy Store is where I have really slipped up.  I haven't done much in this area.  But I still want to get it up and running.  Hope springs eternal.

I wanted to share another journal idea that has been shown on many YouTube Journal Videos, so it is not a new idea, but it is a simple and fast way to create pockets.

You need a piece of paper, card stock works best, that will fit into your journal.  Check this one out.  Note that it is divided into three sections...

Now cut two triangles from the top corners, one larger than the other...

Take the large piece and fold it as shown, using a small line of glue at the bottom and sides.  I also inked the tops...

Next add the larger triangle on the left side, gluing the bottom and outer side...

Repeat on the other side with the smaller triangle...

You have created four pockets.  If desired, you can leave off the smaller triangle which will give you three pockets...

A simple, easy idea that can be made any size and added to any journal.

That's it for today...

Talk with you tomorrow...
